If We Betray Our Time? Let’s Not Imagine Others Have!

I need to get this off my Chest, Museveni Must Be Re-Elected.

 

Our Africa has known turncoats, revolutionaries who never matched what they preached. Museveni comes from the generation that identified its mission and never betrayed it. When we point at his faults we fail short of mentioning that his shortcomings are because he’s human. As far as humanity is concerned, he made difficult choices that have helped Africa move.

He has also been one of the first to get into the thick of things to protect lives. He does so out of conviction and never regrets it. None of his competitors represent the kind of East Africa he represents and letting him go would leave a Republican Army with no clear leader to guide its ideological leanings.

 

Re-Elect Museveni, if not for anything else, but for the simple purpose that that our [young] generation has not yet identified its mission, and if it has, then it is betraying it!

 

Africa has built the world

Africa has built the world: Africa built Europe as a colonial subject, Americas as a slave, and the Middle East as a trader. However, Africa today represents itself in the most unique way. It may be a different way but in most cases it reflects the same spirit. We are used to doing so much for so less that it’s no longer exploitation but the strength within that has defined our resilient nature. This is why despite many trials and tribulations, we remain young, beautiful, hardworking, hopeful, and on our path to prosperity. We are a union of character, not States, Not Systems. The Africa we know today does not apologize for her character, nor seek approval for its nature, but it does seek to express itself, in its youth, in its governance, and in its perseverance.

We keep our face towards the sun, and one by one we compel shadows to fall behind us. Welcome to Africa in 2016.
